These Antibacterial Wound Cleaning Moist Wipes from our own RS PRO brand are designed to help the healing environment and decrease the potential for infection. Using antibacterial wipes helps to wash away cellular debris such as bacteria, exudate and purulent material.

How to clean a wound?

• Wash your hands thoroughly
• Recommended use of disposable gloves if available
• Talk the patient through what you are doing, make sure they are sitting or lying down comfortably
• If there is anything stuck in the wound, don’t try to remove it – seek professional help
• Rinse the wound under running tap water for 5 to 10 minutes
• Use alcohol-free wipes and gently wipe the skin with it
• Dry the area using a towel (don’t use cotton wool pads, strand of the material can get stuck to the wound)
• Apply sterile dressing
